Spring has sprung in the Midwest and we are excited to feature this real Minnesota wedding full of bright colors and DIY details. What a wonderful wedding to get us in the mood for the upcoming season.

Amy and Tony were married in Adrian, MN at St. Adrian Church with the reception in a tent at the family residence just outside of Luverne, MN. Even though Amy was a DIY bride, she and Tony did choose to hire a wedding planner to make their wedding planning easier from Colorado. The bridesmaids and brides hair and make-up was done in the comfort of the family residence. Amy chose a palette of red, yellow and bright blue for her wedding colors and hand made many of her wedding details. Bridesmaids wore bright blue, strapless, knee length dresses which showcased their red hand-held bouquets perfectly. Fabric in various patterns complimented this palette and was used throughout the entire event, from the tent perimeter bunting, table runners to the hand stitched table numbers. There were also large, round balloons in these colors hanging from the tent ceiling, at the reception entrance, behind the bar and dessert table. Mason jars and milk glass vases with floral stems were used at the ceremony and throughout the reception decor.

Upon arriving at the reception, guests signed in at a striped back-drop housed with props and a photo album for them to write a message for the couple. During dinner,  Amy and Tony sat amongst their guests at a sweetheart table dressed just for them, while their amazing menu fare was served buffet style.  A vase array of desserts were showcased on various platters and plates to each side of the wedding cake. One of our favorite details may have been, the wooden cake topper of Amy, Tony and their dog on top of their mid-sized buttercream frosted wedding cake. The entire evening was filled with laughter, great speeches, stories and memories from both of the couple’s friends and family.
